How To Play
You need to be a member of a university team to play. Your team can have between 1 and 5 members. You can join an existing team or create a new one (max. 5 teams per university in Online Qualifying Round and max. 1 team per university in Final Round). The Team Dashboard is the centre of action where challenges will be available. Points are scored by completing challenges. You can see the progress of your team on a live leaderboard.

Team Registration
All teams must be registered by 2pm on Wednesday 30th October 2019 using this link: www.cybercrime.co.uk/register-student
Requests for late registrations (after above date) must be sent to the competition organiser: adrianthompson@bcs.org.uk

Online Qualifying Round (1st - 6th Nov)
You can play online at home, at university or anywhere you like. 25 universities are expected to compete in the Online Qualifying Round. 10 university teams will qualify for the Final Round - These are the nine university teams with the most points as shown on our live leader board plus the winning team from last year's competition. In some press releases including articles on bcs.org this is referred to as "The top 10 teams" for simplicity. However it should be noted that only 9 qualifying spaces are available to the teams with the most points and they will join the winners from last year making a total of ten teams. Only one team from each university will be eligible for the final round.

Automatic Qualification
Lancaster University automatically qualify for Final Round as they won the 2018 competition. This leaves 9 available qualifying spaces for other universities. The winning university this year will likewise automatically qualify for Cyber Crime Cup ™ Final Round in 2020.

Invitations to Final Round
Results of Online Qualifying Round will be available at 2pm on Wednesday 6th November by looking at the leader board. If your university is successful in the Online Qualifying Round, you will receive an invitation to compete in the Final Round at Etihad Stadium. Invitations will be sent by 11th November 2019 to the email address you registered with us. You must reply to the email to accept your invitation by 18th November 2019 or you may not be eligible to play in the Final Round. If your team consists of less than 5 players, you will have the option to invite more players from your university to join you for the Final Round.

Final Round (11am, 25th Nov)
If you reach the Final Round, you are representing your university. Therefore the name of your university (not your team name) will appear on the leader boards during the Final Round. The Final Round begins at 11:00am and ends at 2:00pm. Live leaderboards will show your progress and the top two teams will be invited to play in the Final Match at 3:00pm in front of a live audience. More details about the Final Round and Final Match will be provided along with your Invitation.

Final Match (3pm, 25th Nov)
