2019 Cyber Crime Cup ™
Player Requirements
You must use your real name to register.
To be eligible for the competition you must be enrolled as a university student. Both undergraduates and postgraduates are eligible to play. Both full time and part time students are eligible to play. Both UK Students and Overseas Students are eligible to play.
You must register with a .ac.uk or a .edu email address. If your email address is not recognised by our system - send an email to hello@cybercrime.co.uk containing your name and your university name so we can assist you with the registration process.
In future years, you can play in the competition as an alumni team member so long as you do not work in the cyber security industry as this gives an unfair advantage.
Player Etiquette
You must treat all other players with respect.
Offensive language will not be tolerated in any form - This includes team names, team mottos and all communications with players.
What To Hack
We provide you with a platform to practice your hacking skills - you will recieve challenges that contain domain names you can hack. Under no circumstances should you try to hack cybercrime.co.uk or www.cybercrime.co.uk - this includes but is not limited to denial of service attacks (DDoS) and unauthorised access to other player accounts.
Some competitions will require you to hack player accounts on domains we have setup (for the purpose of competition) known as "challenge domains". These "challenge domains" will never include cybercrime.co.uk or any of its subdomains.
Disqualification
We want all players to enjoy the competition. If you play fair then you have nothing to worry about.
Anyone who deliberately causes disruption to this website or the competition will be disqualified from playing and depending on the circumstances, may have their accound deleted. Remember it is only lawful to hack a website, a network or a server if you have permission from the owner. We give you permission to hack specific domains we have setup for the purpose of competition - we call these "challenge domains". Your hacking activity should be limited to these "challenge domains".
Competition Rules
Our competition rules may be updated at anytime - for example, if we introduce new features on the website these may require an update to competition rules. You must regulary check the rules and agree with the current version in order to play.
Privacy Policy
Our privacy policy may be updated at anytime - for example, if we introduce new features on the website these may require an update to our privacy policy. You must regulary check the privacy policy and agree with the current version in order to play.
Thanks For Playing!
We hope you enjoy the competition.
